FULL SERVICE K9 TRAINING

Welcome to Lone Star K9 Academy. We are located in the greater Houston Area in the great State of Texas. Lone Star K9 Academy staff is dedicated to meeting all of your Police K9 training needs. Our Team has over 20 years of experience in the K9 industry and always looking to advance Police K9 training. The staff comprises active and retired K9 Law Enforcement Officers and civilian members of the K9 community. At Lone Star K9 Academy, we take personal pride in developing each K9 Team to be the best they can be.

TRAINING SERVICES

E-COLLAR STREET TACTICS

E-collar Street Tactics
(E-collar) is a 5 day hands on training course designed to teach each handler the proper use of an electronic collar. 

PATROL K9 TRAINING

A 3-5 day course on ways to be more proficient and effective while you're deployed as aPatrol K9 team. 

K9 DETECTION

This is a 3-5  Day  course designed to keep the K9 team proficient in the Detection field. 

K9/TEAM MAINTENANCE

This course starts with a detailed evaluation, followed by specialized training tailored for individual K9 Teams.

K9 & HANDLER TRAINING

The training staff will train the K9 team in all aspects of training whether it’s a single or dual purpose K9 team. 

BASIC DECOY TRAINING

 A 3-5 day course instructing the proper techniques of a K9 Decoy. Our training staff will tech the fundamentals on how to properly decoy for a K9 while doing apprehension and scenario sessions. 

K9 TRACKING

This is a 5 Day course designed to make the K9 team more proficient in the Skill of Tracking.

ADVANCED K9 TRAINING

Our advanced classes are designed to expand the exposure of Detection, Advanced Patrol work, Narcotics Interdiction, K9 SWAT interrogation, Advanced Decoying, E.S.T. (E-collar course) instructor course.

HOST A TRAINING

Hosting a Police K9 Training or event at your agency is simple and best of all, there is no cost for your department!

Retired Sergeant from the City Of Paterson in New Jersey with 25 years of service in the Law Enforcement Field.

 

Curving served as the lead K9 trainer overseeing the department's K9 Unit and Emergency Response Team Division

Retired Officer Robert Rapp

Retired Officer from Mahwah New Jersey with 25 years of service in the Law Enforcement Field, with 15 years as a K9 Handler and a Sergeant in the 

United States Marine Corps.
